The London Underground is the latest victim of the gender-neutral, PC culture. The cry of “ladies and gentlemen,” so familiar to London residents and tourists alike, will now be replaced.
In a new turn of events, staff in the UK will face disciplinary action for using gender specific terms such as ‘ladies and gentlemen’, reminding us that ultimately, the fight is not about tolerance – it’s about destroying freedom and compelling speech.
The London Underground has announced that they have jumped on board (no pun intended) the gender-neutral movement. In order to make sure passengers of all gender identities are ‘accepted’, the Tube’s staff has now been ordered to use ‘inclusive’ phrases when interacting with customers.
So, what are these ‘inclusive’ phrases? The Telegraph explains as follows:
London Underground staff have been told to instead use greetings such as "good morning everyone" to ensure that all passengers feel "welcome".
All new pre-recorded announcements will also be changed to use the new phrases, Transport for London (TfL) said.
Campaigners had said the phrase "ladies and gentleman" - which is commonly used by drivers - was “outdated”, adding that it is “polite, but really belonging to yesterday”.
TfL said it had told staff about the use of the new phrases, but that "from time-to-time, well-meaning staff may still use the term 'ladies and gentlemen".
"If this happens frequently, we will issue reminders to staff," it added.
Predictably, the movement was hailed by Stonewall, the LGBTI group that lobbied for the change.
Stonewall said in a statement: "Language is extremely important to the lesbian, gay, bi and trans community, and the way we use it can help ensure all people feel included.
Of course language is extremely important to the LGBTI agenda – because if you control language, you can control people’s freedom. Anyone who thinks that the LGBTI lobby is merely invested in the redefinition of same-sex marriage is kidding themselves. The whole idea that the world must restructure the foundation of society in order to cater to a select group of individuals should already have raised red flags.
The LGBTI agenda was never about ‘equality’. ‘Equality’ was just a springboard to gaining control over the silent majority and monopolise basic freedoms in the name of ‘diversity’.
If you think this incident will be the first and last of its kind, think again. The new ‘gender inclusive’ protocol on the London Underground is just another foolhardy step in a bad direction.
“By 2050, earlier, probably -- all real knowledge of Oldspeak will have disappeared. The whole literature of the past will have been destroyed. Chaucer, Shakespeare, Milton, Byron -- they'll exist only in Newspeak versions, not merely changed into something different, but actually changed into something contradictory of what they used to be.”
